Ruby works for ANZ bank managing cross-border payment product development and commercialisation
Ruby was a student of Japanese since her first year at high school through to the end of her university studies in 2010 at Auckland University. Her skills in listening to, reading, speaking and writing Japanese were helpful in her previous job at the ANZ bank in translating client documents for banking of cross border commercial and corporate customers.
In her current position, still with the ANZ bank, Ruby project manages institutional cross-border payment product development and commercialisation. Although Ruby has spent less than a year as an exchange student in Kyushu and Tokyo, she found this experience was immensely helpful with understanding when to alternate between polite and colloquial language.
